The Whiskymaker’s Reserve is an artistic exploration of maturation and blending, of flavour evolution and defining a sherry-led signature style for The Lakes Single Malt. Showcasing a complex sherry-led, wood-forward, and flavour-packed style, each release of The Whiskymaker’s Reserve possesses the same distinct DNA. Varying in character, they continue to evolve in keeping with their increasing sherry cask influence and sense of adventure.
With The Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.5, The Lakes Distillery created a whisky that has the same complex sherry-led style as previous releases but is much more refined and elegant. Bold, not brash, complex but not too complex, this is a rounded whisky that is smooth around
the edges and mature in its make-up, with a wonderfully aromatic nose, and dried fruit, chocolate character and sweetness.
At 52% ABV, following on from four sold-out releases, it is a sophisticated evolution, matured in the finest, bespoke Oloroso, PX, and red wine casks, comprising Spanish and American oak.
